Synopsis: A documentary which compiles the memories and traditions of Afro-Colombian Communities of the Cauca region located in the Pacific lowlands in Colombia. The inhabitants shear their childhood, adulthood and ancestral memories with the spectator. The film presents the traditional mining landscape of the Timbiqui River and the Catholic beliefs represented in the Divine Child devotion. The traditional music, dance and the legendary chants are all illustrated in the film. The goal of the film is to highlight the unique and valuable traits of Afro-Colombian Diaspora within the larger context of Colombian identity.

Synopsis: Don Donaldo is a refugee from the municipio of Mutata Antioquia, who has now been living in Medellin for 8 years. During all this time he has been living in Altos de la Torre, a quarter where refugees have found shelter and from where they can see, with uncertainty and grief, the Valle de Aburra. His days seem eternal, time has given him wisdom to describe with clarity and conviction his daily life and that of his neighbours, all of them far from their homes because of their country's violence. The documentary shows one day in Altos de la Torre, from dawn to dusk.
